Use PixelMCP in Codex
Use PixelMCP from the Codex CLI and IDE extension to create assets for your project.
Before you start: Codex CLI installed (npm install -g @openai/codex). The IDE extension shares the same config. You'll also need a PixelMCP account. Get 100 free credits

Add the server
Run:
codex mcp add pixelmcp --url https://pixelmcp.com/mcp - 2
Or edit config directly
Equivalent entry in ~/.codex/config.toml:
[mcp_servers.pixelmcp] url = "https://pixelmcp.com/mcp" - 3
Sign in
Run the login command and approve access in your browser:
codex mcp login pixelmcp - 4
Start Codex
Launch codex and run /mcp to confirm PixelMCP's tools are listed.

“Create empty-state illustrations for the dashboard in our brand style and add them to src/assets.”
“Generate OG images for the blog posts in /content and reference them in frontmatter.”
Menus change often. If a label here doesn't match what you see, look for “Connectors”, “MCP” or “Integrations” in Codex's settings, or check OpenAI's docs.
